Markus Miessen is an architect, researcher and lecturer, the head of the Studio Miessen agency, a partner in the Berlin-based architectural studio Office, and the headmaster of Architectural Association Winter School Middle East in Dubai. He is regarded as the top expert on the issues associated with participation and involvement in art and architecture. Author and co-author of many published works, such as “When Economies Become Form – Micro-Economic Models as Spatial Prescriptions in Northeast Brazil” (2009) and “The Nightmare of Participation” (2010).
